THE GREAT

UNKNOWN FAQ

Music

1.  Could you get [insert any famous rap, r and b, or punk]?

I'm sorry, but this is The Great Unknown Artists, and we do not get that kind of music.  If there is rap or r and b that not many people know of (such as Sage Francis or Townhall's "Kick the Can") I will look into it.  If you want some of this music, go to another site.

For convenience, here are some artists I absolutely WILL NOT accept:

Fifty Cent
Nelly
Cash Money Millionares
My Chemical Romance (Sorry, but you'll have to go to another site)
Slipknot
Gwen Stafani
Mike Jones
Ludacris

AND MANY, MANY OTHERS THAT I FORGET AS OF NOW!

2.  Could you get [insert any very popular music]?

If there is something that is popular, go to another music site.  Chances are at least fifty other sites have it.

3.  Could you get [insert any religous music]?

I'm sorry, but if I get this music, some might be offended.  Also, I don't like it.

Codes (Music Codes, and Xanga Enhancement Codes)

1.  How do you put music on to your xanga?

To get music on to your xanga, right click the link for the music.  Then, click properties on the menu that appears.

(This is the menu.)

A box will pop up that looks like this:

Where it says "Internet Address" (the highlighted part), there is a URL, or website address, for the music.  Right click it and another menu that looks like this will appear:

Click "Select All."  Then, copy what you have just selected (Ctrl-C).  Copy it into this part of your Look and Feel:

Music (?)
Music: (?test music - clear
Loop Music:

Then, you're done.  If you want the music to play over and over again, choose this setting:

Loop Music:

2.  How do I put music into my Music Playlist?

Use the same method as Question One, but put the URL where it says "MUSIC URL HERE."  For people to see the song's title, put the title where it says "SONG TITLE HERE."

3.  I did everything you said, but the music still isn't playing.  What's up!?

For some reason, some of our music is just simply working.  It is something with Windows Media Player.  Or at least we think it is.  Who knows what it is, but it might just be your computer, because some of the music that doesn't work for me works for other people.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

Requests

1.  kAn U GeEt da nELly yO?

The who?  And the what?  What the heck are you saying!?  Please, my example may have been bad because I don't talk like that, but don't type that way.  It's okay if you don't capitalize some stuff and use some slang, but don't alternate from CAPS LOCK to lower case letters in the middle of a word.  And please use words that are at least similar to the English language.

Sources

1.  Where do you get your music?

Sorry, but so people come back to my site, I am only revealing two of my sources.  There is the least used one - www.altavista.com, and www.singingfish.com.  Remember to only use "Windows" formatted songs for your Xanga.

2.  Where do you find your Great Unknown Artists?

Most of them I heard about on NPR.  At 9AM on Sunday there is a program about music.  This might only be in Philadelphia, so you have to check for yourself if you want to hear it.  Some I just know about, and one or two I have heard about by word of mouth.  I research their websites myself, though.
